Advices.

It is recommended that French Bulldogs who live indoors have access to air conditioning to regulate their temperature.

Precautions must be taken when exercising during hot or humid weather, as they are prone to heat stroke. 

Curiosities.

The French Bulldog, like many other companion dog breeds, requires close contact with humans. They have fairly minimal exercise needs, but do require at least daily walks.

The French Bulldogs cannot live outdoors. 

Skin.

The skin should be soft and loose, especially at the head and shoulders, forming wrinkles. 

Acceptable colors under the breed standard are the various shades of brindle, fawn, tan or white. The dominant color is brindle. The breed clubs do not recognize any other colors. 

Body.

The hind legs should be strong and muscular, longer than the forelegs, so as to elevate the loins above the shoulders. 

The tail should be either straight or screwed, short and fine tip.

The feet should be moderate in size. 

Reproduction.

French bulldogs frequently require artificial insemination, or caesarean section to give birth. 

Many French bulldog stud dogs are incapable of naturally breeding. This is because French Bulldogs have very slim hips, making the male unable to mount the female to reproduce naturally. 

History. The origin.

The origin of the modern French Bulldog breed descends directly from the dogs of the Molossians, an ancient Greek tribe. 

British Molossian dogs were developed into the Mastiff. 

Eyes.

French bulldogs have a tendency towards eye 

issues. The skin folds under the eyes of the French 

bulldog and should be cleaned regularly and kept 

dry. 

Tear stains are common on lighter-colored dogs.

Temperament.

French Bulldogs are very sweet and make excellent friends. 

The French Bulldog rarely barks and if he does it is to draw attention. This breed is patient and affectionate, especially with children.  

Description.

The French Bulldog is a small breed of domestic dog. 

French Bulldogs are playful,affectionate and wonderful. They require patience. They are called pigdogs in the UK as their resemblance to pigs in snorting noises and appearance.

My opinion.

The French Bulldog is my favourite dog because is small and I had one in my childhood. 

It name was Lola.
